
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has urged concerned institutions to prepare a strong and practical plan aimed at boosting Pakistan’s exports to Malaysia, with a special focus on beef exports. Chairing a video link meeting from New York, he reviewed the current state of trade between the two countries and directed authorities to ensure effective measures were taken to expand bilateral commerce.
During the session, officials provided a detailed briefing on Pakistan’s export potential in the Malaysian market, highlighting areas that could significantly increase trade volumes. The prime minister stressed that boosting beef exports would not only diversify Pakistan’s export basket but also create new economic opportunities for farmers, businesses, and exporters across the country.

Shehbaz Sharif noted that Pakistan and Malaysia have enjoyed strong fraternal ties for decades, built on mutual respect and cooperation. He emphasized that Malaysia had always supported Pakistan in times of need, and Islamabad deeply valued this enduring relationship, considering it a foundation for stronger economic collaboration.
The prime minister underlined that both countries possessed immense untapped potential for trade, particularly in agriculture, food, and livestock sectors. He said it was now essential to take concrete steps, backed by a robust action plan, to make sure Pakistan fully capitalized on the opportunities available in Malaysia’s growing consumer market.
