Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar’s mission of providing homes to the families of police martyrs is ongoing. In continuation of this mission, IG Punjab has provided a house to the family of another police official who embraced martyrdom in the line of duty.
Sharing details, the spokesperson of Punjab Police said that the family of Shaheed Head Constable Nazar Abbas has been given a house worth Rs. 13.5 million. A house was purchased and handed over to the martyr’s family in a private housing society in Dera Ghazi Khan, according to their choice.
Punjab Police spokesperson further shared that Head Constable Nazar Abbas embraced martyrdom in 2024 during an encounter with miscreants in the Kacha Machka area. The surviving family members of Shaheed Head Constable Nazar Abbas include his wife, three sons, and one daughter. On the special efforts of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the Government of Punjab released funds for the martyr’s family house.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar paid rich tribute to the immortal sacrifice of Head Constable Nazar Abbas. IG Punjab that he embraced martyrdom while performing his duty without caring for his own life.
Separately, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, met with police employees and their families at the Central Police Office, Lahore. IG Punjab listened to the problems of the police employees and issued instructions to the concerned officers for immediate relief.
According to details, on the request of ASI Shafqat Ali for restoration of seniority, IG Punjab directed the Additional IG Punjab to provide relief. On the request of sanitary worker Patras Masih regarding transfer and posting, IG Punjab directed the CTO Lahore to provide relief. On the request of Traffic Assistant Muhammad Akbar for medical financial assistance, IG Punjab directed the Additional IG Welfare & Finance to provide relief. Similarly, on the request of Senior Security Constable Babar Ali, IG Punjab directed the DPO Kasur to provide relief.
IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar also issued immediate orders on other applications related to discipline, administration, promotion, and welfare.
