While speaking to a media channel, Shaza Fatima Khawaja reassured the nation that the government is actively working to resolve the ongoing internet disruptions affecting users across the country.

She emphasized that the government, in collaboration with PTCL and global technology partners, is committed to addressing the slow internet services and service interruptions promptly.

The Minister highlighted that the government is monitoring the situation closely and has already initiated measures to restore full connectivity as soon as possible.

Minister Khawaja further explained that technical teams are working around the clock to identify and rectify the causes behind the disruptions.

In addition to this, the government is exploring alternative solutions and backup systems to prevent future outages and improve overall service reliability.

She acknowledged the difficulties faced by citizens and assured them that efforts are underway to restore normalcy swiftly. The Minister also stressed the importance of maintaining a robust communication infrastructure to support daily activities, work and education.

On the issue of flood-affected regions, Shaza Fatima Khawaja specifically mentioned that the government is prioritizing internet access in these areas, where connectivity has been severely impacted due to the recent natural disasters.

The Minister stated that dedicated teams are working to restore internet services in flood-hit zones, ensuring that essential communication channels remain open for relief and recovery operations.

She also confirmed that backup internet capacity has been activated in affected areas to minimize disruptions and keep communities connected during this challenging time.
