Shehbaz slams Anti-Army propaganda, pays tribute to martyrs

Published on: September 10, 2025 4:30 PM

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned online propaganda against Pakistan’s armed forces. He said it is “intolerable” and will be punished. Speaking at a cabinet meeting, he warned that anyone mocking the military or spreading hate will face strict action. He called such individuals enemies of the state and said they must be removed. The prime minister also said the government is using digital tools to identify and act against these elements.

During the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to Major Adnan Aslam. He said the nation is proud of its martyrs. He also met the martyr’s family and praised the courage of Major Adnan’s father. The prime minister called their bravery an inspiration. He said the army protects the country with full dedication and deserves full respect. He added that no one should question their sacrifices.

Shehbaz Sharif also spoke about his recent visit to China. He said the trip was successful and full of business opportunities. According to him, new MoUs were signed with both China and the United States. These will help boost investment and trade. He said Pakistan is working to balance relations with both global powers. He added that Chinese support in development and defense remains strong.

Moreover, the prime minister declared a climate and agricultural emergency due to severe flood damage. He said the floods have caused major losses in Sindh and other regions. Over 1,000 people have died so far. He ordered a full review of crop damage within one week. Shehbaz also urged provinces to stay active in recovery and relief efforts.

In conclusion, the prime minister said Pakistan faces serious climate threats. He called for faster development work and better planning. He added that delay in national projects will no longer be allowed. The federal government, he said, will lead the way, but provinces must also act. He promised that his team will respond quickly and responsibly to the crisis.
