Pakistan and Kazakhstan have agreed to boost political and economic cooperation. Both countries aim to improve trade, regional connectivity, and coordination. The visit is part of preparations for the Kazakh president’s visit in November.
The meeting included a one-on-one session between the two foreign ministers. It was followed by broader delegation-level talks. The Kazakh minister arrived in Islamabad on Monday for a two-day visit. He was welcomed at the airport by senior Pakistani officials. His 13-member delegation includes Kazakhstan’s Minister of Transport.

Both sides discussed the urgent need to expand trade and investment. They focused on sectors like agriculture, education, tourism, and logistics. They also talked about working together in regional and international forums. Improving road and rail links was also part of the discussion. The goal is to strengthen economic and strategic ties between Central and South Asia.
According to the Foreign Office, this visit helps prepare for the Kazakh president’s trip. Nurtleu is also expected to meet President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
