
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a T20 tri-series featuring Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan, marking the first time Pakistan will host a tri-nation T20 tournament. The series promises exciting matches for fans across the country.
The tri-series is scheduled to take place from November 17 to 29, with games held in Rawalpindi and Lahore. Cricket enthusiasts can expect intense competition as teams prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
The opening match on November 17 will feature Pakistan against Afghanistan at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. This match will also mark Afghanistan’s first-ever T20 international match in Pakistan, adding historical significance to the series.
On November 19, Sri Lanka will face Afghanistan in Rawalpindi, giving Afghan players another opportunity to showcase their skills against strong regional competitors. The initial matches will set the tone for the rest of the tournament.
The remaining five matches will be played in Lahore, with the grand finale scheduled for November 29 at the iconic Qaddafi Stadium. Fans can expect high-quality cricket and a thrilling conclusion to the series.
PCB Chief Operating Officer Samir Ahmed Syed highlighted that the tri-series will serve as an excellent preparation platform for the T20 World Cup, allowing players to gain match practice and fine-tune strategies before the global event.
