Star javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem is ready to break a new record at the upcoming World Athletics Championship. He says he feels no pressure and is fully fit for the competition. Arshad is confident and determined to raise Pakistan’s flag high on the global stage.
After recovering from an injury, Arshad has been training intensely at Punjab Stadium in Lahore. Although rain disrupted outdoor training for a week, he quickly regained his rhythm with long javelin throws. This helped him build confidence for the upcoming event.
Arshad shared that after his surgery in the UK, he resumed training on August 12. He now feels strong and hopeful about his performance in the championship. He asks fans to pray for his success.
In Japan, Arshad will face tough competitors like India’s Neeraj Chopra and Julien Weber. He has previous experience from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, which motivates him to perform better this time.
Coach Salman Iqbal Butt said their focus is on improving Arshad’s own skills, not worrying about other players. Arshad is in great shape and will travel to Japan on September 9. The qualifying round starts on September 17, and the final takes place on September 18.
