Six flights of Air Sial and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) were cancelled at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport on Monday due to technical and operational reasons, affecting routes to Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar.
Air Sial cancelled two flights, PF-143 and PF-145, which were scheduled to depart from Karachi to Lahore. Passengers were informed in advance, and alternative arrangements are being made by the airline for affected travelers.
Another two Air Sial flights, PF-125 and PF-123, scheduled to arrive in Islamabad from Karachi, were also cancelled. Airline officials cited technical issues and operational constraints as the main reasons for the disruption.
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) faced similar disruptions. Flight PK-306, scheduled to depart from Karachi to Peshawar, was cancelled, leaving several passengers stranded at the airport until rescheduling arrangements were made.
Another PIA flight, PK-350, intended to arrive in Peshawar from Karachi, was cancelled. Officials said the airline is working to assist affected passengers and ensure minimal inconvenience while resolving operational challenges.
Passengers are advised to check with airlines before travelling and confirm their flight status. Airport authorities confirmed that normal operations continue for other flights, and safety checks are being carried out diligently.
