
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, currently visiting China for the 25th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), held discussions with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
During their meeting, both leaders exchanged views on strengthening bilateral relations, highlighting the importance of deepening cooperation in trade, investment, defense, and energy, while reaffirming their commitment to advancing shared strategic goals.
Moreover, they discussed regional security issues and emphasized the need for peace, stability, and closer collaboration among SCO member states, underscoring the role of dialogue and diplomacy in resolving conflicts.
The two leaders also reviewed ongoing joint projects and stressed the importance of exploring new areas of economic cooperation, particularly in infrastructure development, renewable energy, and technological advancement for mutual prosperity.
In addition, Erdogan and Sharif reaffirmed their resolve to continue supporting each other on international forums, while strengthening people-to-people ties and enhancing cultural exchanges to deepen friendship between both nations.
The meeting, held on the sidelines of the SCO Summit, reflected the strong partnership between Turkey and Pakistan, with both leaders expressing optimism for a more productive and collaborative future.
