Quetta operation: FIA captures human trafficker, six Afghans

Published on: August 30, 2025 4:37 PM

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has made a major breakthrough in Quetta, Balochistan, by arresting a key human trafficking agent. The FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle launched the operation in the city, which led to the arrest of Torilai, also known as Abdullah. He is suspected of being a crucial member of an organized human trafficking gang operating in the region.

The FIA spokesperson confirmed that Torilai was involved in smuggling people through illegal border routes into Iran. During the operation, authorities seized the agent’s mobile phone, which contained evidence related to human trafficking activities. The suspect was also found to be in contact with another human trafficker named Noorullah, further linking him to the illegal operation.

In addition to Torilai, the FIA apprehended six Afghan nationals during the raid. These individuals were reportedly in the process of being trafficked to Iran through illegal routes. The arrests are part of a larger investigation into the human trafficking syndicate, which has been smuggling people across borders for illegal purposes.

The FIA has vowed to continue its efforts to dismantle the human trafficking network operating in the region. The agency is now focusing on tracking down other members of the syndicate and holding them accountable. This operation highlights the growing concern over illegal immigration and human trafficking in Balochistan and surrounding areas.

Authorities have pledged to ensure that justice is served, and that traffickers face legal consequences. The FIA is working with international partners to strengthen its counter-human trafficking operations. This latest success is a step towards combating the rising issue of human trafficking in Pakistan.
