BUNER: PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar on Friday expressed gratitude to the federal government and Pakistan Army for their support during recent floods. He pledged full assistance to those whose homes or businesses were affected, promising efforts to compensate all victims.
Gohar said ten districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were hit hard by heavy rains and floods. He noted that Buner suffered the most damage and emphasized the urgency of relief work in the region.
He revealed that 14 children are still missing from the village of Beshoni and search operations remain ongoing. He commended the swift response of the KP government and assured families of financial aid—Rs 2 million for each deceased and Rs 500,000 for the injured.
Gohar praised the efforts of the Pakistan Army, stating that three units are still active in rehabilitation operations. However, he criticized the federal government’s aid for Buner, calling it minimal and inadequate.
He reiterated PTI’s commitment to standing with flood victims and called for increased national efforts to assist affected areas. He urged authorities to ensure timely recovery and stronger disaster preparedness for the future.
