PCB plans documentary to celebrate 10 years of PSL’s rise

Published on: August 23, 2025 2:33 PM

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced plans to produce a special documentary marking ten years of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The film will highlight the league’s progress from 2016 to 2025. It will cover both major achievements and key challenges faced during this period. PCB aims to showcase how PSL became a major cricketing brand. The documentary will be a tribute to the league’s growth and global recognition.

According to sources, the film will show how the PSL started in the UAE. It will explain how matches gradually shifted back to Pakistan. The board will also feature efforts to bring foreign players to Pakistani stadiums. These efforts helped revive international cricket in the country. The documentary will reflect on how PSL helped rebuild confidence in local venues.

In addition, the documentary will cover tough periods, including the COVID-19 pandemic. PSL faced many delays and rescheduling during that time. Despite the challenges, the league managed to continue under strict health measures. The film will show how players, staff, and organizers worked together to keep the tournament running. These moments became defining points in the league’s story.

The documentary will also celebrate how PSL joined the world’s top cricket leagues. It will feature highlights of memorable matches, top performances, and exciting final moments. The film will explain how the league became a strong platform for young talent. Fans will get to see how PSL earned international praise and built a loyal fanbase.

Finally, PCB plans to release the documentary after the 2025 season ends. It hopes the film will honor the league’s impact on Pakistani cricket. Through this tribute, PCB wants to connect deeply with fans. The documentary will offer a powerful look at a decade of cricket success, ambition, and national pride.
