
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit Pakistan on Thursday, August 21, to co-chair the 6th Pakistan-China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue, strengthening ties between the two nations.
The Foreign Office in Islamabad stated that Wang Yi’s visit comes at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, highlighting the importance of high-level diplomatic engagement.
During the dialogue, both countries will reaffirm their commitment to the “All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership,” focusing on mutual support regarding each nation’s core interests and shared regional responsibilities.
Additionally, Wang Yi and Pakistani officials are expected to discuss enhancing economic and trade cooperation, exploring opportunities to further expand bilateral investment, infrastructure projects, and other collaborative initiatives.
The Strategic Dialogue will also provide a platform to strengthen regional peace, security, and stability, reflecting both countries’ shared vision for development and collaborative problem-solving in Asia.
Officials emphasized that the visit continues the tradition of regular high-level exchanges, aiming to deepen diplomatic ties, foster mutual trust, and reinforce long-term strategic cooperation between Pakistan and China.
