“Pakistan mart” in Dubai set to boost export access globally

Published on: August 6, 2025 1:12 PM

A high-level delegation from the National Logistics Corporation (NLC) and DP World recently met with the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) to discuss the new “Pakistan Mart” initiative in Dubai. This project aims to give Pakistani exporters direct access to key global markets in the Middle East, Africa, and South America.

Brigadier Mohammad Yousaf, Director of Plans at NLC, led the delegation and presented a detailed video outlining Pakistan Mart’s objectives. He explained that the facility would provide state-of-the-art logistics, warehousing, and retail infrastructure, helping Pakistani businesses expand their international reach efficiently.

Abdullah Yaqoob Al Sayed Ahmad Al Hashmi, Head of Traders Markets at DP World, described Pakistan Mart as a strategic trade hub. He highlighted its integration of warehousing, logistics, and exhibition spaces, designed to meet global standards and support various business activities under one roof.

Fakhre Alam, Vice Chairman of DP World, added that the project would showcase Pakistani products on a global stage. He emphasized that Pakistan Mart would significantly boost the country’s export profile by attracting international buyers and strengthening trade links.

Senior Vice President of ICCI, Abdul Rehman Siddiqui, called the initiative a milestone for Pakistan’s export and logistics sectors. He praised the collaboration between NLC’s regional expertise and DP World’s global network, ensuring wide opportunities for exporters. Siddiqui also promised ICCI’s full support to promote the project.

Other ICCI leaders shared their optimism, with Vice President Nasir Mehmood Chaudhry stressing the project’s potential to enhance Pakistan’s cultural and economic ties worldwide. Meanwhile, advisor Naeem Siddiqui highlighted the importance of a permanent Pakistani business presence in Dubai to connect exporters directly with global markets.

The meeting ended with all participants committing to work together for Pakistan Mart’s success, envisioning it as a gateway to new growth and international trade opportunities for Pakistan.
