Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur announced plans to expose India at the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). He said India misrepresented his statement at FATF by taking it out of context. Gandapur accused the Indian government of involvement in terrorism in Pakistan and the wider region.
He stated Pakistan will send a letter to FATF detailing India’s sabotage in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Gandapur also vowed to push for India’s placement on the FATF grey list. His announcement came after India submitted his earlier remarks against Pakistan as evidence at FATF.
Meanwhile, Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari criticized the use of Gandapur’s statement by India at FATF. She called it shameful for the entire Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party and said such actions damage Pakistan’s image. Bukhari blamed PTI for harming the country’s economy and sabotaging diplomatic efforts.
She praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for successfully removing Pakistan from FATF’s grey list through hard work and effective diplomacy. This achievement improved Pakistan’s access to Western markets and relations with the European Union. Bukhari added that PTI’s protests and letters to the IMF had harmed Pakistan’s international standing.
Bukhari also claimed that India’s ruling government faces global isolation after losing the war against Pakistan. She accused Modi’s administration of spreading false propaganda following its defeat. The political dispute highlights ongoing tensions between Pakistan’s parties and India’s role in the region.
