Pakistan has strongly rejected India’s recent claims about “Operation Mahadev,” calling them baseless and fictional. Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan said the operation holds no importance for Pakistan. He labeled Indian Home Minister’s remarks as stories designed to spread misinformation and justify aggression.
In his weekly press briefing, the spokesperson dismissed India’s allegations made in the Lok Sabha regarding “Operation Sindoor.” He said such provocative statements distort facts and aim to create false narratives. Pakistan believes these actions serve only to cover up India’s strategic failures.
Khan pointed out that India attacked without any investigation into the Pahalgam incident. According to him, innocent civilians were killed in the Indian strike on the night of May 6 and 7. He added that Pakistan responded effectively, targeting Indian aircraft and military assets. He called India’s mission a failure and Pakistan’s response a success.
The spokesperson said India rejected Pakistan’s offer for transparent investigations. Instead, India chose to act as judge, jury, and executioner. He emphasized that Pakistan rejects India’s “new normal” doctrine and views mutual respect and adherence to the UN Charter as the only path to peace. He also dismissed India’s nuclear rhetoric as blackmail.
Addressing other issues, Khan said India’s statements about the Indus Waters Treaty are unfounded. He warned that suspending such agreements undermines international law. He accused India of destabilizing the region through misinformation and war hysteria. In contrast, Pakistan remains committed to peace, regional stability, and meaningful dialogue.
