Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has warned that if aggression against Iran is repeated, the country will respond in a way “so decisive and forceful that it cannot be hidden.” His statement comes amid rising tensions following recent covert military actions allegedly carried out by the United States and Israel.
In a strongly worded message on social media, Araqchi said Iran is fully aware of the true extent of the damage from recent attacks. He claimed that while the U.S. and Israel have tried to downplay or hide their losses, Tehran knows the real numbers. “We know how much damage our enemies suffered, even if they are hiding it from the world,” he stated.
He emphasized that Iran would not hesitate to retaliate, and any future response would be far more severe. “If they repeat their aggression, we will strike harder and make sure the world sees it,” he said. Araqchi added that Tehran is preparing for all scenarios and will not be caught off guard again.
Turning to Iran’s nuclear ambitions, the foreign minister explained that the Tehran Research Reactor currently runs on 20% enriched uranium and helps over one million patients annually by producing medical isotopes. He stressed that Iran needs enriched uranium to power its upcoming nuclear energy plants and rejected claims that the program has military aims.
Araqchi reiterated that Iran’s nuclear issue can only be resolved through diplomacy, not force. “The global community must understand that military threats won’t work. Only dialogue can solve this,” he said. His remarks followed U.S. President Joe Biden’s warning earlier that day, threatening renewed attacks if Iran moves closer to acquiring nuclear weapons capabilities.
