Exciting new Pakistani dramas to watch in 2025

Published on: July 25, 2025 1:54 PM

Pakistani dramas continue to be a source of pride for local and international viewers. As we move into 2025, several highly anticipated serials are generating major buzz. With new celebrity pairings, emotional plots, and seasoned directors at the helm, drama lovers have plenty to look forward to this year.

One of the most talked-about dramas is Biryani, reuniting Khushhal Khan and Ramsha Khan after their hit show DuniyaPur. This time, fans are hopeful for a lighter, happier love story. Produced by Fahad Mustafa and directed by Badar Mehmood, the drama features a script by veteran writer Zafar Mairaj, raising expectations even higher.

Another major comeback includes Kubra Khan in Dr. Bahu, starring alongside Shuja Asad for the first time. The drama is directed by Mehreen Jabbar and written by Sanam Mehdi, with a supporting cast featuring Saba Hamid and Hajra Yamin. Kubra’s return to television after her marriage has added to the excitement.

Saba Qamar also returns to the small screen after two years with Pamaal, a powerful story centered on emotional trauma and healing. Her character, Malika, has already made waves through early promos. The drama promises intense performances and a heartfelt narrative, attracting praise even before its release.

Meanwhile, Zanjeerain brings together Sajal Aly and Ameer Gilani, with Farhat Ishtiaq handling the script. Despite some early doubts about Ameer’s on-screen appeal, fans are eager to watch the chemistry between the two unfold. The show is currently being filmed in Islamabad and is already trending among drama fans.

Adding even more to the list is Meri Zindagi Hai Tu, pairing Hania Aamir and Bilal Abbas Khan for the first time since both actors debuted in 2016. Produced by Six Sigma Plus and directed by Musaddiq Malek, this romantic drama is already creating strong buzz online. Fans are expecting fireworks from this fresh pairing.

Lastly, Masoom is making waves with a stellar cast including Imran Ashraf, Sonya Hussain, and Mikaal Zulfiqar. Directed by Barkat Siddiqui and produced by Momina Duraid Productions, the show’s promos have already gone viral. With its gripping plot and intense performances, Masoom is shaping up to be a must-watch this year.
