The famine crisis in Gaza has reached an alarming level. In just three days, 21 children have died due to hunger. Israeli forces have blocked food aid at the border, making life unbearable for Palestinians. According to Arab media, families are struggling even for one meal a day. Hunger has now become a deadly weapon in the ongoing conflict.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has raised serious concerns. It revealed that over one million children in Gaza face severe hunger. Since March, only limited aid has entered the region. This amount is far from enough for the population’s needs. Food shortages have become life-threatening, especially for children.
UNRWA warned that children’s health is rapidly declining. Bombings and aid blockades have worsened the humanitarian crisis. Many children are now at risk of malnutrition and long-term health damage. The agency appealed for urgent global action. Immediate aid is needed to save innocent lives.
Meanwhile, Gaza’s Civil Defense Agency has expressed deep concern. Its spokesperson, Mahmoud Basel, shared heartbreaking scenes from the ground. He said mothers have nothing to feed their starving children. He accused the Israeli military of using food as a weapon. Civilians waiting for aid are being targeted, worsening their suffering.
Both UNRWA and local agencies have called on the international community. They demand an end to the blockade and safe entry for humanitarian aid. Time is running out for Gaza’s children. Without swift action, more lives will be lost to hunger. The world must respond before the crisis becomes even more tragic.
