With great romance, comes great coffee dates. Six months after Zendaya and Tom Holland-who played fated love interests in the most recent Spider-Man installments-announced their engagement, the couple made a rare outing in Scotland, where they’ve been filming Chrisopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, for the first time since Tom made a surprise visit to his fiancée on the Euphoria set in April.
For the occasion, the Challengers star sported a casual cardigan over a white tank and black pants while grabbing a coffee with the Uncharted actor, as seen in photos shared to X, who kept it simple with a gray T-shirt, jeans and a green hat.
And while the two confirmed their romance back in July 2021 with a steamy PDA session in Los Angeles, they largely prefer to keep their relationship out of the spotlight. In fact, fans only knew the pair was engaged when Zendaya debuted her engagement ring at the 2025 Golden Globes.
But when the 28-year-old was asked about the eye-catching ring on the red carpet, she simply responded with a shrug and a smile.
Tom’s dad Dominic Holland, however, revealed a few details about the proposal a few weeks later, including the fact that the 29-year-old formally asked Zendaya’s dad Kazembe Ajamu Coleman for his blessing before popping the question.
“He had purchased a ring,” Dominic wrote in a Patreon post earlier this year. “He had spoken with her father and gained permission to propose to his daughter. Tom had everything planned out When, where, how, what to say, what to wear”
And he went on to emphasize that he and his wife Nikki Holland couldn’t be happier to see the couple begin a new chapter in their love story.
“Even though show-business is a messy place for relationships and particularly so for famous couples as they crash and burn in public and are too numerous to mention,” he continued, “I am completely confident they will make a successful union.”
For his part, Tom explained that he often avoids walking red carpets with his fiancée because, as he told Men’s Health in January, “It’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us.”
Indeed, he and the Dune star only publicly shared their romance all those years ago because they were forced to do so after the paparazzi photographed them kissing in a car.
“One of the downsides of our fame is that privacy isn’t really in our control anymore and a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world,” he told GQ in a 2021 cover story. “I’ve always been really adamant to keep my private life private, because I share so much of my life with the world anyway.
