
China will provide modern training to Islamabad police officials, focusing on advanced technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to improve law enforcement capabilities. This was agreed upon during a recent meeting in Islamabad.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with a delegation from Beijing Police Department, led by Deputy Director General Gao Jianzan, to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation between the two police forces.
Under the agreement, Islamabad police officers will travel to Beijing for specialized training in modern policing techniques and AI applications. This training aims to enhance Islamabad’s policing systems and overall security measures.
Minister Naqvi expressed that this advanced training will significantly boost the skills of Islamabad Police. He praised Beijing Police for their modern equipment and experience, emphasizing the value of learning from their expertise.
Additionally, China will support Islamabad Police with anti-riot training. Both sides stressed the importance of timely information sharing to fight terrorism, organized crime, drug trafficking, and human smuggling effectively.
The meeting included key Pakistani officials such as Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, interior secretary, DG FIA, and IG Islamabad, alongside senior members from China’s Ministry of Public Security and Beijing Police Department.
