China has expressed strong interest in boosting cooperation with Pakistan. The focus will be on agriculture, industry, and mining. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi shared this commitment during a meeting with Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in Tianjin on Wednesday.
The two countries already share close ties. However, both sides now aim to deepen those ties with more practical projects. Wang Yi highlighted China’s readiness to support Pakistan in key development sectors. He said these efforts would help both economies grow stronger.
Wang Yi also praised Pakistan’s efforts in the fight against terrorism. He assured China’s full support for Pakistan’s anti-terror operations. He added that a peaceful Pakistan would benefit both countries and the wider region.
At the same time, China stressed the need for safety. Wang said China trusts Pakistan to protect Chinese citizens and projects in the country. This includes Chinese companies and workers involved in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Earlier, Dar also met Chinese President Xi Jinping. He conveyed Pakistan’s warm greetings and support. Both sides agreed to keep working closely in the future. The meeting marks another step forward in their growing friendship.
