Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan praised Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for her strong leadership and people-focused policies, especially the launch of the Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA). The speaker met with the CM in Lahore to discuss the political and administrative situation of the province.
During the meeting, Speaker Khan lauded the Punjab government’s effective response during the ongoing monsoon season. He also appreciated the establishment of PERA, which aims to control inflation, remove encroachments, and take action against land mafia activities across the province.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that the welfare of every citizen remains her top priority. She added that PERA was formed to provide relief to ordinary people and to ensure smooth access to basic amenities in both urban and rural areas.
She stated, “Every decision I take is rooted in public welfare. My goal is to serve the people of Punjab by making their lives easier and more secure.” Her leadership vision, she said, focuses on equal development and inclusive progress.
Speaker Khan also acknowledged that, for the first time, development projects were being equally distributed across all regions. “The CM is working beyond political boundaries. People in underdeveloped areas finally feel seen and served,” he remarked.
Furthermore, both leaders agreed to continue collaborative efforts to improve governance, support public needs, and ensure fair development across the province. The meeting concluded on a note of mutual commitment toward transparency and public service.
