Veteran Pakistani actor Mehmood Akhtar revealed that Bollywood star Nawazuddin Siddiqui once stayed by his side for 10 days after he suffered a heart attack during a film shoot in Europe.
In a recent interview on Neo TV, Mehmood shared emotional moments from his life and career. He said the heart attack happened in Bulgaria while shooting for a film that included mostly Indian cast and crew members.
Since the team had to travel to another city for the next shoot, most people left. However, Nawazuddin Siddiqui stayed back at the hospital and took care of Mehmood like a family member for nearly two weeks.
Mehmood expressed deep gratitude, saying, “Nawazuddin Siddiqui has done me a favor I can never repay. He looked after me like I was his own child.”
He also shared that after 10 to 12 days, his son arrived, and Nawazuddin quietly left. They haven’t spoken since, but Nawaz did mention the incident once on an Indian TV show.
Following this heartfelt story, social media users widely praised Nawazuddin for his kindness and humanity, calling it a rare example of cross-border compassion and respect.
