At least 20 Palestinians, including a child and a woman, were killed in Israeli airstrikes across Gaza on Saturday, according to local health officials and media reports. The strikes hit several locations in Gaza, with one child losing their life in an attack on the Al Daya family home in Gaza City’s Sabra neighborhood. Another woman was killed, and three others were wounded in a separate attack on the same area.
Elsewhere in Gaza, Israeli forces targeted Nuseirat in central Gaza, killing at least 10 people, while three more lost their lives in airstrikes on al-Mawasi. In western Gaza City, five more individuals were reported dead, adding to the already devastating toll of ongoing violence in the region. The attacks come amid rising tensions and escalating violence in Gaza.
In addition to the deaths in Gaza, the family of Sayfollah Musallet, a 20-year-old US citizen killed by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank, is calling for an independent investigation. The family has urged the US government to launch a probe into the incident, which occurred when Musallet was surrounded and beaten by Israeli settlers. The attackers reportedly targeted medics attempting to aid him during the assault. Musallet’s family described the situation as a “nightmare” and demanded justice.
Meanwhile, a human rights group, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor, has called for the prosecution of former US President Donald Trump for alleged complicity in genocide. The group accused Trump of supporting the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation’s aid distribution model, which it claims has led to Israeli forces killing hundreds of Palestinians at aid collection points in Gaza. The group also pointed to the presence of private US security contractors working with Israeli forces during some of these incidents.
The call for Trump’s prosecution stems from the group’s belief that the former president’s support for the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation and Israel’s military actions in Gaza contributed to the deaths of many innocent Palestinians. In its statement, the organization emphasized that international legal bodies should hold Trump accountable for his role in facilitating these actions.
The ongoing violence in Gaza has sparked widespread outrage, with numerous international organizations calling for accountability and justice for the victims. As the situation worsens, pressure continues to mount on global leaders to address the human rights abuses taking place in the region.
