Published on: July 12, 2025 3:20 PM

Pakistan and Bahrain have agreed to work closer to fight terrorism and stop human trafficking. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met his Bahraini counterpart, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, in Manama on July 10, 2025. Both leaders stressed the need to boost security cooperation between their countries. They believe this partnership will help make their nations safer and more secure.

During the meeting, officials discussed ways to improve joint efforts against terrorism and human trafficking. They also talked about fighting drug smuggling together. Both sides want to make the Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Security Committee more active and effective. The Bahraini interior minister praised the strong cooperation with Pakistan. He said their security teamwork is valuable and must continue growing. On the other hand, Minister Naqvi said working together on drug control and human trafficking is very important right now. He highlighted that both countries need to focus on these issues urgently.

Naqvi received a warm welcome at Bahrain International Airport. He was given a guard of honor at the Ministry of Interior. Senior officials from both countries joined the meeting to discuss future plans. This meeting builds on earlier talks about trade and security cooperation between Pakistan and Bahrain.

Earlier visits by Pakistan’s top military officials to Bahrain also strengthened ties. These visits showed that both countries want to keep working closely in many areas. The new agreement on counterterrorism and human trafficking marks another important step. It shows how Pakistan and Bahrain aim to keep their people safe and promote peace in the region.
