MUZAFFARABAD – Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, emphasized the inseparable bond between Pakistan and Kashmir during a visit to the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.
The students and faculty warmly welcomed the ISPR chief in traditional Kashmiri style. A special Q&A session was organized where students expressed unwavering support for the Kashmir cause and praised the Pakistan Army’s efforts in defending their rights.
Speaking at the session, Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong stance on the Kashmir issue and said that the struggle of the Kashmiri people would never be forgotten. He added that the sacrifices made by Kashmiris for their right to self-determination will always be honored by the Pakistani nation.
During the interaction, students passionately declared, “Kashmir is the lifeline of Pakistan, and we will reclaim it at all costs.” They also acknowledged the military’s firm response to Indian aggression and thanked the Pakistan Army for standing strong with the people of Kashmir.
Earlier this week, in an interview with foreign media, the ISPR chief had accused India of using terrorism as a state policy against Pakistan. He pointed out India’s alleged involvement in destabilizing regions like Balochistan by supporting militant groups.
His remarks followed a tragic bomb attack in Waziristan that claimed the lives of 16 Pakistani soldiers and injured over 20. The banned outfit TTP (Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan) had claimed responsibility, underscoring the ongoing security challenges Pakistan faces from extremist threats.
