Pakistan Army spokesperson Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has accused Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval of masterminding a state-sponsored terrorism network targeting Pakistan.
In an interview with Al Jazeera, DG ISPR stated that India has institutionalized terrorism as a state policy, using proxies like the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) to destabilize Pakistan. He said the recent Waziristan bombing, in which 16 soldiers were martyred and over 20 others injured, was just one example of India’s direct involvement.
He added that India funds and supports militants operating in Balochistan and other conflict-prone areas, referring to them as “Fitna-tul-Hindustan” — a term now commonly used to describe Indian-backed terrorist elements. The military also labels groups like the TTP as “Khawarij”, or armed renegades who distort religious teachings to justify violence against the state.
“Only the state can declare jihad,” he stressed, adding that groups like the TTP have no link with Islam, Pakistan’s values, or humanity.
General Chaudhry also reassured the nation about Pakistan’s nuclear capability, calling it “fully secure and invincible.” He said no country could dare target Pakistan’s nuclear assets, which reflect regional stability and the country’s defensive strength.
Touching on broader geopolitics, DG ISPR reaffirmed Pakistan’s political and diplomatic support for Iran amid Israeli attacks and warned that aggression against any Islamic state threatens regional peace.
He concluded by stating that international powers, including the U.S. and Canada, have acknowledged India’s role in cross-border terrorism, and urged the global community to take India’s actions seriously.
