President Zardari not resigning, PPP calls rumors baseless and misleading

Published on: July 9, 2025 3:12 PM

The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has strongly denied all rumors about President Asif Ali Zardari’s resignation. Party Vice President Sherry Rehman said these reports are false and part of a planned attempt to weaken democracy. She urged people not to believe in fake news and propaganda. According to her, such rumors aim to create confusion and harm democratic institutions. She said the public must stay alert and avoid spreading such claims.

Sherry Rehman praised President Zardari for his strong role in protecting democracy. She said he always stood firm during difficult times. He supported the Constitution and never misused power. Instead, he willingly gave more authority to the Parliament. She said this move showed his belief in democratic values and his commitment to the system.

Furthermore, Rehman stated that President Zardari is a key figure in the current coalition government. She called him the pillar of balance and stability. His leadership, she said, helps keep the Parliament strong and united. She also noted that Zardari is not just a political figure but a symbol of democratic continuity. His presence gives people confidence in the system.

Senior PPP leader Nayyar Bukhari also denied the speculations. He called them baseless and misleading. Bukhari said there is no truth in the claims of resignation. He added that Zardari is focused on serving the nation. Both leaders made it clear that Zardari will continue to play his role as President.

The PPP has dismissed all rumors regarding President Zardari’s resignation. The party believes these are part of a campaign to harm democracy. It has asked people to trust facts, not rumors. With the support of his party, Zardari remains a strong leader. His role continues to be important in maintaining peace and democratic order in the country.
