Imran Khan’s sons to join movement in Pakistan, says sister Aleema Khan

Published on: July 8, 2025 11:33 PM

Aleema Khan, sister of imprisoned PTI founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has revealed that his sons Sulaiman and Qasim Khan are preparing to join a nationwide political movement in Pakistan. Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail on Tuesday, Aleema said Imran Khan has given a clear message: “All political and legal doors are shut — now, only a people’s movement is the way forward.”

She added that Imran Khan’s sons are currently planning a visit to the United States, where they will engage international human rights organizations to highlight alleged violations and injustices against their father. After that, they will return to Pakistan to actively support the movement on the ground.

Aleema Khan also disclosed that PTI’s top leadership will soon announce the movement’s official timeline, but Imran Khan has already directed that the peak or decisive phase of the movement must take place on August 5 — a date with significant political relevance, particularly regarding Kashmir and civil liberties.

Quoting Imran Khan, Aleema stated that he had urged the public to stand up for democracy, the Constitution, and the rule of law, especially after their fundamental rights were “snatched away” following the 26th Constitutional Amendment. She criticized the judiciary, saying it has “stopped delivering justice” to the people, and called for resistance against oppression.

When asked about internal party affairs, Aleema Khan said Imran Khan has clearly instructed that any party official who cannot handle the pressure or responsibility of this movement should resign. She emphasized that there is no talk of dialogue or compromise — only a full-fledged public uprising. “The movement has already begun,” she concluded.
