Pakistan crowned champions of Asian youth girls netball championship 2025

Pakistan’s youth netball team achieved a historic victory by winning the Asian Youth Girls Netball Championship 2025, held in South Korea. In a powerful display of teamwork and talent, Pakistan defeated Maldives in the final with a commanding score of 60–35 to lift the championship trophy.

The final match was a showcase of Pakistan’s growing strength in women’s youth sports. From the start, the Pakistani team maintained control, using sharp passes, strategic defense, and fast-paced attacks to outplay the Maldivian side. Their consistent performance throughout the tournament helped them finish unbeaten.

Just a day before, Pakistan knocked out Japan in the semifinals with another impressive win, beating them 64–39, which secured their spot in the title match. The tournament ran from June 27 to July 4 and featured 11 countries, divided into two groups. Pakistan competed in Group B, alongside Japan, Maldives, South Korea, Chinese Taipei, and Saudi Arabia.

The players who stood out with remarkable performances included Lea Raza Shah, Alisha Naveed, Samia Kausar, Halima, Jasmine Farooq, Amani, Parisa, and Farah Rasheed. Their coordination, agility, and precision earned praise from netball fans and officials across Asia.

Leaders of the Pakistan Netball Federation—Chairman Mudassar Arain, President Sameen Malik, and Secretary General Muhammad Riaz—congratulated the team on their golden achievement. They expressed immense pride in the girls’ commitment and said this victory reflects the bright future of women’s sports in Pakistan. They also emphasized the need for continued investment and support to nurture young talent in international competitions.
