ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will depart for Baku, Azerbaijan, today to attend the two-day 17th Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) summit starting tomorrow. The summit will focus on a sustainable and climate-resilient future.
During the event, Shehbaz Sharif will lead Pakistan’s delegation and present the country’s views on important regional and global issues. He aims to highlight Pakistan’s role in promoting peace and development within the ECO member states.
The theme of the summit, “New ECO Vision for a Sustainable and Climate Resilient Future,” aligns with Pakistan’s commitment to addressing climate change and fostering sustainable growth in the region. The Prime Minister will stress these priorities in his speeches and discussions.
Moreover, Shehbaz Sharif will hold bilateral meetings with other ECO leaders on the sidelines of the summit. These talks will focus on enhancing trade, transport connectivity, and energy cooperation among member countries to boost regional integration.
