Lahore, Pakistan – The Pakistan Steel Melting Association (PSMA) has announced a strategic collaboration with the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) to address the critical skill gap within Pakistan’s steel industry workforce.
This partnership aims to enhance the training and development of the labor force, ensuring they possess the necessary skills for current and future industry demands.
Mian Ahmad Hassan, Chairman of the PSMA, stated, “The Association has thoroughly identified both the current and future skill needs of the steel sector. We will provide comprehensive support in realigning existing training programs with the industry’s specific requirements, and we’ll also develop new programs to meet emerging skill demands over the medium term.”
The PSMA has also committed to fully support the establishment of specialized training institutions. These institutions will focus on the training, development, and crucial safety education of the workforce employed in Pakistan’s steel melting sector
