11 terrorists killed, 2 soldiers martyred in South Waziristan anti-terror operation

SOUTH WAZIRISTAN – Two Pakistan Army soldiers embraced martyrdom while 11 terrorists were killed during a major intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Sararogha area of South Waziristan on Tuesday, the military’s media wing ISPR confirmed.

According to ISPR, the operation targeted terrorists belonging to Fitna-al-Khwarij, a group Pakistan links to Indian state sponsorship. Troops launched the raid after receiving confirmed intelligence reports of militant presence in the area. In the ensuing gun battle, security forces successfully neutralized 11 terrorists and injured seven others.

Tragically, Major Syed Moiz Abbas Shah (37, from Chakwal) and Lance Naik Jibran Ullah (27, from Bannu) were martyred in the firefight. Major Moiz was known for his fearless leadership in multiple anti-terror operations and led the mission from the front, displaying extraordinary courage.

Following the clash, Pakistan Army initiated sanitisation operations to ensure no remaining threats in the vicinity. ISPR reiterated the army’s unwavering resolve to eliminate Indian-sponsored terrorism and vowed that the sacrifices of its brave soldiers only strengthen national commitment.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the martyred soldiers, calling them true heroes. “They foiled the evil designs of India-backed terrorists and ensured the safety of our future,” he said, adding that their bravery will always be honored by the nation.
