Residents of Karachi may experience thunderstorms and rainfall from Friday through Sunday, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). The city is expected to remain partly cloudy and humid over the next three days.
PMD forecasts indicate a rise in temperature ahead of the rainfall. On Wednesday, temperatures may reach 37°C, climbing to 38°C by Thursday. These conditions are expected to set the stage for pre-monsoon activity later in the week.
According to the Met Office, monsoon winds have begun entering the northern and central regions of the country. The department also predicts that these monsoon currents will strengthen in the coming days, possibly leading to heavier rainfall.
Additionally, a new western weather system is entering the northern parts of Pakistan. This combination of monsoon and western winds is expected to bring unstable weather conditions across various parts of the country.
On June 26, areas like Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Badin, and Dadu may see dust storms and rain. On June 27, Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Khairpur, and Ghotki are also expected to experience similar weather conditions. Citizens are advised to stay updated and take precautions during changing weather patterns.
