Arab league condemns Israeli attacks on Iran, calls for de-escalation and ceasefire

The Arab League’s foreign ministers strongly condemned Israeli airstrikes on Iran and urged immediate efforts to reduce tension. In a meeting held in Istanbul, they called for a halt to military actions that threaten regional peace and stability. Their statement highlighted the urgent need for calm.

According to Turkey’s Anadolu news agency, the Arab League stressed accelerating regional and international diplomatic efforts. They want to prevent further deterioration and work toward a comprehensive ceasefire in the conflict. The ministers emphasized unity in stopping violence.

The emergency session discussed the situation since June 13, focusing on Israeli strikes against Iran. The final statement described Israel’s attacks as a clear violation of a UN member state’s sovereignty. The ministers warned that such aggression endangers peace across the Middle East.

Furthermore, the Arab League urged the resumption of negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program. They expressed support for diplomatic moves to ease tensions and avoid conflict escalation. The ministers called for renewed dialogue to secure lasting stability.

In conclusion, the Arab League’s message is a call for peace and restraint. They demand respect for international laws and urge all parties to work together for a ceasefire. The region watches closely as diplomatic efforts unfold.
