Pakistan-Bangladesh t20 series set for july 20 start

Published on: June 19, 2025 4:24 PM

The Pakistan men’s cricket team will travel to Bangladesh in July 2025 for a three-match T20I series, according to reports. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has already shared a proposed schedule with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), with official confirmation expected next week.

As per the tentative plan, the T20I matches will be played on July 20, 22, and 24. All games are set to be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka. The series has been arranged outside the ICC’s Future Tours Programme (FTP) and was finalized during recent meetings held on the sidelines of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

This tour follows Bangladesh’s visit to Pakistan earlier this year, where they were swept 3–0 in a T20I series. That series marked the beginning of a new era for Pakistan under head coach Mike Hesson and T20I captain Salman Ali Agha. Bangladesh will now look to turn the tables on home soil under the leadership of Litton Das.

After completing the Bangladesh tour, Pakistan is scheduled to head to the West Indies for another T20I series starting on July 31, with matches also planned for August 2 and 3 in the United States. Although a three-match ODI series in Trinidad is also on the calendar (August 8, 10, and 12), discussions are ongoing to possibly replace it with more T20Is.

The proposed changes aim to give both teams stronger preparation for major upcoming events, including the 2025 ACC Men’s Asia Cup and the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Final details for both tours, including full schedules and venues, are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
