“No power can break Balochistan’s bond with Pakistan,” declares DG ISPR

Published on: June 17, 2025 11:13 PM

Karachi – Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif, asserted on Tuesday that a few terrorists backed by India cannot shake the unbreakable bond between Balochistan’s people and the state of Pakistan, which is rooted in shared religion, culture, and traditions.

He made these remarks while addressing a gathering at Jinnah University for Women in Karachi, where he was invited to speak about national unity and Pakistan’s recent security operations.

“The enemies of Pakistan, particularly those sponsored by India, aim to sow discord in Balochistan. But they underestimate the resilience and loyalty of our people,” said Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif. “Balochistan stands with Pakistan — always has, and always will.”

He further highlighted the significant role of the youth — especially students — in Operation Bunyan-e-Marsous, which was launched to thwart terrorist threats and dismantle hostile networks aiming to destabilize the country.

“It was not just a military effort,” he noted, “but a collective resistance where our youth emerged as defenders of national integrity.”

Touching on Kashmir, the DG ISPR reaffirmed Pakistan’s stance:

“Kashmir was, is, and will remain the jugular vein of Pakistan.”

The session was warmly received by students and faculty, who gave a rousing welcome to the DG ISPR. Students praised the efforts of the armed forces and expressed their pride in Pakistan’s resilience during times of adversity.

“The bond between the people and the military is not just strategic — it is emotional, historical, and deeply patriotic,” one student said.

Students also expressed keen interest in more interactive sessions like this one to better understand Pakistan’s defense strategy and the reality of modern hybrid warfare.
