Iran has released the names of six senior generals killed in Israel’s first strike during the recent conflict. These generals served in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Forces. Iran officially confirmed their martyrdom on Monday.
The names were published in a post by Tehran Times on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). The post aimed to honour their sacrifice and inform the public of their role in defending the nation.
The six officers include Second Brigadier General Morteza Tayeb Masoud and Major General Mahmoud Bagheri. Also among the martyrs are Brigadier Generals Mohammad Baqer Taherpour, Davood Sheikhan, Khosro Hosseini, and Mansour Safarpour.
These generals were reportedly targeted during the early phase of Israeli military operations against Iranian positions. While Iran has confirmed the deaths, it has not disclosed specific details of where and how the strikes occurred.
The announcement reflects rising tensions as Iran continues to respond to Israeli aggression on diplomatic and military fronts. Tehran has vowed to honour the fallen with resilience and has called for regional unity against further escalation.
