At the G7 summit in Canada, world leaders, including US President Donald Trump, addressed the crisis. Trump expressed hope for a peace deal but acknowledged the ongoing intensity of the conflict. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz emphasized the importance of diplomacy while reaffirming Israel’s right to defend itself.
Oil prices saw a modest increase following the conflict escalation, but global financial markets remained largely stable. As military action intensifies, the international community continues to push for de-escalation while bracing for what could become a prolonged and devastating war.
