After Israel’s recent large-scale attacks on Iran, Pakistan has taken urgent steps to protect its citizens, especially pilgrims in Iran. The situation remains tense, and the safety of Pakistani visitors has become a top priority.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced the formation of a special Crisis Management Unit at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This unit will operate 24 hours a day, providing real-time assistance and updates to Pakistani citizens affected by the situation.
The government also directed the Pakistan Embassy in Tehran to offer full support to Pakistani nationals, especially Zaireen (pilgrims) visiting religious sites. Citizens in need of help can call the embassy’s helpline at +982166941388, which will remain active throughout the crisis.
This step highlights Pakistan’s strong commitment to safeguard its people abroad. Officials are also coordinating with Iranian authorities to ensure Pakistani visitors remain safe in cities like Tehran, Mashhad, Qom, and Isfahan, where many pilgrims travel.
Meanwhile, the conflict continues to grow, with Iran’s Supreme Leader warning Israel of a strong response. In this uncertain time, Pakistan has also called for international efforts to bring peace and avoid more violence in the region.
