Federal Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal said PTI left Pakistan’s economy in ruins. He called PTI a proxy for India. He added that his government is still removing the economic problems left behind by PTI. These problems, he said, are like landmines planted in the country’s progress.
Iqbal explained that when his party took power, many thought fixing the economy would be quick. But Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif made tough and unpopular decisions. These choices cost the government politically, but helped save the economy from collapse. Iqbal said this showed true leadership during a crisis.
He also criticized PTI for not starting any major projects in four years. Instead, they only blamed others and created chaos. Iqbal blamed PTI for the economic damage caused by floods and mismanagement. He said his government is working hard to repair this damage.
Moreover, Iqbal claimed PTI leaders speak like India’s representatives. He reminded that the Finance Ministry once refused to release development funds under PTI’s government. This refusal was historic and hurt Pakistan’s development plans badly.
Finally, Ahsan Iqbal said the nation can clearly see his government’s progress. He said they focused on economy, not politics. He assured that the development budget was fully funded throughout the year to help Pakistan grow.
