ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Saudi Arabia on a two-day official visit at the invitation of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. During the visit, he will celebrate Eid al-Adha in the Kingdom and meet with the Crown Prince for high-level talks.
According to Dawn News, the two leaders will discuss ways to boost bilateral cooperation in key areas such as trade, investment, regional security, and welfare of the Muslim Ummah. The meeting is expected to further strengthen the already close ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Prime Minister Shehbaz is also expected to thank the Saudi leadership for playing a constructive role in reducing recent tensions between Pakistan and India. This diplomatic gesture follows a series of regional visits made by the Prime Minister last month to Turkey, Iran, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan, where he expressed gratitude for their support against Indian aggression.
The Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, and Information Minister Attaullah Tarar.
This visit highlights Pakistan’s continued efforts to strengthen strategic ties with key regional allies and to promote unity within the Muslim world, especially during significant occasions like Eid al-Adha.
