Shehbaz sharif visits Karachi for key meetings and navy tribute

Karachi: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif landed in Karachi on Monday for a one-day visit to the port city. He was warmly welcomed by Minister for Education Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, along with other officials, upon his arrival.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by key ministers including Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif, Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, and Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar. The visit comes as part of ongoing efforts to bolster ties between the federal government and the provincial administration in Sindh.

During his stay, PM Shehbaz will visit the Pakistan Navy’s dockyard, where he will address Navy officers and personnel. He is expected to pay tribute to the Navy’s role in successfully countering Indian naval aggression during Operation Bunyanum Marsoos. The operation, which took place in the past, saw the Navy effectively safeguarding Pakistan’s maritime interests against hostile Indian actions.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will hold discussions with Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Sindh Governor to address local issues and explore avenues for further cooperation between the provincial and federal governments. This visit is seen as an opportunity for the Premier to reaffirm the government’s commitment to the region’s development and security.
