
Gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant rise on Saturday, with the price of one tola increasing by Rs. 2,400. This pushed the local price of gold to Rs. 338,500 per tola. The surge in gold prices comes in line with the international market’s upward trend.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10 grams of gold also rose to Rs. 290,209, gaining Rs. 2,058 during the day.
On Friday, gold prices had already seen a smaller increase, rising by Rs. 900 to reach Rs. 336,100 per tola. The international market also saw a boost in gold prices, reaching $3,201 per ounce, with an additional premium of $20. This marked a $24 increase in the international rate, according to the APGJSA.
Along with gold, silver prices also experienced a rise. The price of silver per tola went up by Rs. 33, settling at Rs. 3,410. The continuous increase in precious metal prices is reflecting the global economic trends, influencing local markets as well.
