Mishi Khan questions Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s silence on indian aggression

Published on: May 9, 2025 3:57 PM

Actress and TV host Mishi Khan has criticized renowned Pakistani singers Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for remaining silent amid recent Indian military aggression against Pakistan. In a video shared on Instagram, Mishi questioned their lack of public response, asking, “Where are they, and why are they silent?”

She pointed out that during the Indian strikes, 33 innocent Pakistanis were martyred, yet neither of the singers issued any statement or expressed solidarity. In contrast, Mishi noted, the entire Indian film industry quickly reacted and condemned the deaths of 26 Indians in the Pahalgam attack in occupied Kashmir.

Highlighting the singers’ popularity in India, Mishi said she personally admires Atif Aslam but is unable to understand why both he and Rahat are silent on such a critical national issue. “Innocent people in Pakistan have lost their lives. Where are you?” she asked.

Taking a sarcastic jab, Mishi suggested that perhaps Atif Aslam is unaware of the situation because he is asleep, and no one has informed him about the attacks. She also joked that Rahat Fateh Ali Khan might be asleep after drinking honey and spiritual water, oblivious to the deadly developments.

Mishi Khan emphasized that showbiz personalities, especially those with large followings, should speak out against Indian aggression and support their country in times of crisis.

To recap, India carried out strikes on six Pakistani locations on May 6 and 7, resulting in 26 civilian deaths. The attacks continued with Israeli-made drones being sent into Pakistan on May 8 and 9, most of which were intercepted and destroyed by the Pakistan Army.
