Famous Pakistani writer Khalilur Rehman Qamar has decided to work in India, ending his long-standing refusal. He said personal struggles and betrayal have weakened his sense of patriotism, pushing him to reconsider.
In a recent podcast, Qamar shared that he once rejected many Indian offers but is now open to cross-border work. He blamed a “honey trap” incident, where he was allegedly kidnapped and tortured, as a turning point in his life.
Qamar also claimed Bollywood copied his famous drama Boota from Toba Tek Singh. He said Govinda’s film Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hai featured a lead role similar to his character Boota.
Despite his past criticism of India’s entertainment industry, Qamar said recent events have changed his thinking. He now plans to work in India, saying, “After what I’ve faced, I will work there too.”
