KARACHI: Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP)’s Chairman Mustafa Kamal has announced a large public rally on Saturday in protest over the nagging issues faced by Karachi. Addressing to a press conference at its Pakistan House, the PSP chief asserted millions of people will gather at Shahra-e-Faisal on May 14 for a peacefully march towards Chief Minister House for the solution of problems faced by the mega city. “We will present 16 our demands,”, if the demands are not accepted, Karachi will not remain livable that will coerce the people to migrate from the city.” Therefore it has been decided that will not go back until our all demands are meet. “It is not A Rehman Malik’s era when ‘all is well report’ was tabled over cups of tea. Time has however changed. Now, the people have decided not to die of hunger and starvation, rights of Karachiites will have to be granted to them,” he added. Mustafa Kamal criticized at the provincial government saying it has dominated many civic institutions including Water Board, Master Plant Department and Building Control Authority.” The provincial government has taken powers from the federal government but it does not transfers the authority and resources to the local management”, he said. Army operations have been conducted at different areas of the country but terrorism cannot be uprooted unless we fulfill basic needs of citizens.” I have made this city and hence I am well aware how to resolve its issues”. He appealed to all the transporters of the city to provide the facility of transportation to Finance and Trade Center (FTC) building free of cost for the day. Leaders have tried to disintegrate us into various sections but have failed. We will do the politics of issues where all the people, irrespective of religion, sects, castes and color will come together at FTC building and will be starting a long march towards Chief Minister House for their basic rights.
