Sir: I am a student of Atta Shad Degree College in Turbat, Balochistan. This is an institution where lecturers are uninterested in teaching students, and they are frequently absent. Mostly students are given no lectures in classes even though they often lodge complaints with the principal. When the lecturers do come to take classes, they sit on their chairs and read newspapers instead of teaching students. Moreover, sometimes the lecturers teach students of first and second years, but sadly, they hardly have any time for the students of BA, BCS and BSC. That is why students who cannot afford to go to other cities for studying take admission in Atta Shad Degree College and a lot of them do not attend classes because they know teachers are least interested in imparting knowledge to them. I would like to request the provincial government to take some steps to monitor the conduct of lecturers in all colleges, and especially our college. Lecturers who do not teach students with sincerity and integrity should be fired from the college immediately. MONIS BALOCH BOLANI Turbat
