Sir: NAB is considered a key institution for the eradication of corruption in Pakistan. In the second week of December 2011, NAB announced through an advertisement several posts, including assistant director (BPS-17) and junior investigation officer (BPS-16). Being a graduate of the Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, and fulfilling the criteria of NAB, I applied for the post of assistant director and junior investigation officer and paid Rs 300 for each application in National Bank’s main branch, Lahore, in the account provided by NAB. Moreover, I also applied for the post of assistant (BPS 14), which required no submission of fees. Now, NAB is conducting a test through National Testing Service. On the list announced by NTS website, my name has been included in the junior investigation officer and assistant but not for the post for assistant director. I had already paid a fee for applying for this post. Moreover, I belong to Rajanpur, Punjab, which is considered one of the least developed areas in Pakistan. I completed my education from the best institution of Pakistan despite belonging to a backward area. Other students are also facing the same problems. I request NAB and NTS to rectify this error and include my name for the test for assistant director, which I had already paid a fee for before the test. WASIM AKHTAR Rajanpur
